You get to use the Wii Remote to collect all the clues that you can, investigate your suspects using pick-up-and-play mini games.

When you have gathered enough evidence, you and other players can name the guilty party and thus close the case. However, when it comes to the Dickens Detective Agency, there are numerous enemies to contend with, and there is always another suspect lurking in the shadows. You can play the game on your own, or you could have three other people playing in head-to-head game play. You can also opt to play as a team in the cooperative mode when solving the cases. The game also features replayability, where you can replay levels and have different results each time, making it that much more fun.

Once you have selected your detective from the games selection of 8 detectives, the game begins. You are presented with the mystery that you are to solve. You can move your character through multiple rooms looking for clues that are indicated by big question marks. As you search the rooms, you also get bonus tokens that you can use to move through more rooms as you investigate some more. With each clue is a mini game, which are challenging and yet very entertaining. As you collect clues, you get to identify the villain’s characteristics, and a sketch is developed as you move along. After each turn the suspect moves, and bad guys make your job more difficult.

The game will keep you interested long after you have wrapped your head around learning the game. Parents can play with their kids as well, and even adults will enjoy playing the game together.
